Here's the next “authors with heart” spotlight and prize pack from our 2017 project! I'll be doing these posts until spring of 2018, plus catching up with a few authors from 2016. I'm still a little behind. In these features, you get to hear about a book and have a chance to win a prize! Each featured author helped with the 2017 Mother's Day thermal bags that were donated to two Washington state Fisher Houses—VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle and Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM.
This week, Cindy Kirk's FOREVER IN GOOD HOPE is in the authors with heart spotlight. The book is the newest release in the Good Hope series. The other three books are only 99 cents if you want to check you the entire series. Click here!
Here's what a reviewer says:
“This is the 4th book in the Good Hope series by Cindy Kirk. She has done it again and this book is a must read. This book is Delphinium (Fin) Bloom's love story. She is in Good Hope for work with her boyfriend Xander. When Xander's proposal is voted out by the city council board members, he asks Fin to stay behind and try to get the Mayor Jeremy to put the proposal on the agenda next month. He said he doesn't care that Jeremy was her ex-boyfriend. And the story begins but little does everyone know Fin has a secret. I can't wait to see if there is another book in this series maybe about Hadley and Owen or will Eliza find love?” —Goodreads reviewer
Here's the blurb for FOREVER IN GOOD HOPE:
Delphinium “Fin” Bloom returns to her hometown with one goal: get the mayor—her former flame—to approve a location shoot in Good Hope. But business turns personal when the two become entangled in a fake engagement to comfort his ailing grandmother.
For Jeremy, the romantic façade hits close to his heart. Still reeling from the way things ended between Fin and him all those years ago, he sees the fake engagement as an opportunity to get her out of his system once and for all. But instead of laying the past to rest, Jeremy quickly discovers he can’t envision a life without her.
Now engaged to another man, Fin had long ago given up on the dream of a life with Jeremy. Why is it, then, that her fake engagement feels more genuine than her real one? As the sleepy days of summer come to a close in Good Hope, will Fin and Jeremy give love a second chance? Or will the revelation of a devastating secret put an end to the fairy tale?
This sounds like a really fun story! I love second chance romances. What do you think?
