We're down to our final three “authors with heart” spotlight and giveaway post from the now-cancelled 2020 project. Usually these follow the Mother's Day tote bag projects, but that didn't happen last year. Still I hope you enjoy these books from the authors who offered to sponsor the 2020 Mother's Day thermal bags for three Washington state Fisher Houses—VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle, Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM, and VA Portland Health Care System in Vancouver.
“This was a sweet clean read which is my favorite. But it was also a really great story with a lot of twists and turns. I couldn't put it down!” —Amazon Reviewer
Here's the blurb for THE DIABOLICAL BARON:
A Wicked Wager!
Rich, handsome, and fashionably jaded, Jason, Lord Radford, knows he must marry to get an heir, but assumes that any well bred young lady will do, so he offers for Caroline Hanscombe, whose name he draws at random. Caroline is pressured by her family to accept, but shy and musical, she finds her new fiancé alarming. Will this be a match made in heaven or hell? Or might Caroline quietly find herself a man who suits her better…?

Where are my historical romance readers? This was Mary Jo Putney's first novel. It's a very sweet story along the lines of Heyer and traditional Regency. His way of picking a wife is interesting. What do you think?
