I hope your November is going well! Here's another “authors with heart” spotlight and giveaway post from the upcoming 2020 project. Usually these follow the Mother's Day tote bag projects, but this year that is on hold. As soon as we can reschedule the authors and I will get tote bags to the three Fisher Houses. But until then, enjoy these books from the authors who will be sponsoring the 2020 Mother's Day thermal bags for three Washington state Fisher Houses—VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle, Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM, and VA Portland Health Care System in Vancouver. They will also be participating in the big readers giveaway at the end of the project!

THE CLAUSE IN CHRISTMAS by Rachael Bloome is in this week's spotlight. This is the first book in her Poppy Creek series.  Here's what a reviewer had to say about the set:

“If small towns, friends that feel like family, holiday shenanigans, and clean Hallmark-movie-like romances are your thing, then this is the book for you! The town of Poppy Creek is sweet and endearing and the writing makes you feel like it’s either a place you’ve already been or somewhere you need to go!” —Amazon Reviewer

Here's the blurb for THE CLAUSE IN CHRISTMAS:

An unexpected inheritance. A pesky clause in the will. And 25 days to avoid falling in love.

Cassie Hayward hates Christmas. Especially this year.

No job. Flat broke. And an ex most definitely on the naughty list.

The unexpected inheritance of a charming Victorian cottage in the small town of Poppy Creek may be the Christmas miracle Cassie needs.

Except for one itty-bitty problem: a clause in the will.

To inherit the house, Cassie must complete a series of festive tasks every day in December leading up to Christmas. All overseen by the handsome, Christmas-loving lawyer Luke Davis.

Luke is as strong and steady as the bespoke furniture he crafts as a hobby. He has to be. Stepping into his late father's shoes as the town lawyer comes with a sleigh full of responsibilities. Which mean the captivating stranger collecting her inheritance is a distraction he can't afford.

As the unlikely pair complete the daily tasks, fighting their attraction becomes more futile than putting jolly ole St. Nick on a diet. But when someone from Cassie's past reappears with the offer of a lifetime, Cassie will have to choose between love and the life she always wanted.

I love Christmas romances, and if you do, too, you need to check out Rachael's book. This was her debut novel, and it's a great story. And that cover is to die for! What do you think?
