It's time for the next 2020 “authors with heart” spotlight and giveaway feature. Usually these follow the Mother's Day tote bag projects, but this year that is on hold. As soon as we can reschedule the authors and I will get tote bags to the three Fisher Houses. But until then, enjoy these books from the authors who will be sponsoring the 2020 Mother's Day thermal bags for three Washington state Fisher Houses—VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle, Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM, and VA Portland Health Care System in Vancouver. They will also be participating in the big readers giveaway at the end of the project!

EXPLOSIVE SITUATION by Terri Reed is featured in this week's spotlight. This is the fourth book in the True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn series. Here's what I reviewer had to say about the book:

This book was a great wholesome romance. It had mystery and budding romance with two people overcoming loss in their own ways. I loved the attention that the animals received in this book as well. Terri Reed did an awesome job including scriptures and prayer in this book. Wonderful for all ages!“—Goodreads Reviewer

Here's the blurb for EXPLOSIVE SITUATION:

With his K-9 partner at his side, can he survive false accusations and a bomber?

Detective Henry Roarke’s determined to prove his innocence to internal affairs officer Olivia Vance—but first he must survive the bomber targeting him and his bomb-sniffing K-9, Cody. With a coming baby to protect and an investigation to pursue, Olivia has her hands full…until she becomes a target, as well. Can they catch the bomber before they all lose their lives?

If you enjoy romantic suspense, you should read Terri Reed if you haven't already. I love her books, and especially those set on K-9 teams. I've been looking forward to this one. I can't wait to learn more about Cody and the threat. What do you think?
