I hope your November is going well! Here's another “authors with heart” spotlight and giveaway post from the upcoming 2020 project. Usually these follow the Mother's Day tote bag projects, but this year that is on hold. As soon as we can reschedule the authors and I will get tote bags to the three Fisher Houses. But until then, enjoy these books from the authors who will be sponsoring the 2020 Mother's Day thermal bags for three Washington state Fisher Houses—VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle, Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM, and VA Portland Health Care System in Vancouver. They will also be participating in the big readers giveaway at the end of the project!

This week's spotlight features Tule Publishing‘s A CONVENIENT CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL by CJ Carmichael. This is the second book in her The Shannon Sisters series.  Here's what a reviewer had to say about the set:

“Smooth read that I just sat and read and read. I was invested in the characters and all the emotions. Wonderful main characters as well as secondary characters. The children, oh my heart broke for them, but they had guardian angels in the form of Uncle Mick and Officer Kelly. Written with beautiful details that I felt I was in the story. A bit tragic tale balanced nicely with the magic wonder and beauty that the Christmas season brings. Highly recommend. A Christmas romance by CJ Carmichael is always a sure thing!” —Goodreads Reviewer

Here's the blurb for A CONVENIENT CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL:

She’s the Christmas light in a world that seems so dark…

When Patrol Officer Kelly Shannon answers a suspected DUI call that results in the suspect’s death, she has to deliver the grim news to his young family, including his brother—her friend and crush, Mick. Kelly convinces herself that she’s only making amends when Mick begs for help looking out for his niece and nephew as his sister-in-law grieves and neglects her young children. But as Christmas approaches, Kelly admits the truth. She’s falling in love.

Journalist Mick Mizzoni spent his life trying to keep his younger brother out of trouble. When he gains temporary guardianship over his niece and nephew, he crosses the professional line he drew years ago and turns to Kelly Shannon for help. As she embraces him and his new family, she gives him hope that this Christmas could be different.

With their happiness hanging by a thread, Kelly hopes for a Christmas miracle, but Mick, who’s not as jaded as he thought, wants so much more.

CJ Carmichael never disappoints, and I can't wait to read this one. It sounds like an emotional read, and I can't wait to see how their Christmas and romance works out. What do you think?
