Here's  another “authors with heart” spotlight and giveaway from the upcoming 2020 project. Usually these follow the Mother's Day tote bag projects, but this year that is on hold. As soon as we can reschedule the authors and I will get tote bags to the three Fisher Houses. But until then, enjoy these books from the authors who will be sponsoring the 2020 Mother's Day thermal bags for three Washington state Fisher Houses—VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle, Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM, and VA Portland Health Care System in Vancouver. They will also be participating in the big readers giveaway at the end of the project!

In this week's spotlight is Tule Publishing‘s FALLING IN PUPPY LOVE by Kelsey McKnight and Sarah Fischer. This new release just came out on Thursday the tenth. Here's what a reviewer had to say about the book:

“This story is so feel-good. I loved that it was written from both Aiden’s and Emily’s perspectives as it enabled me to see each of them falling in love. There’s plentyy of lighthearted wit, mostly from Aiden because he’s good with words. There are also lots of occasions to smile. All in all this book is about making readers feel good and in my opinion it delivers.” —Amazon Reviewer

Here's the blurb for FALLING IN PUPPY LOVE:

He’s used to stories with no happy ending…

Aiden Hughes never expected to return to Birdsong, but after a scandal rocked his professional world the former hard-hitting reporter needs a plan B. Covering local events for the small town newspaper after chasing down national news is a huge step backwards. But when he interviews the founder of a dog rescue whose heart is bigger than New York City, he wonders if there’s more to life than his byline in a prestigious paper.

Emily McLane has always had a sweet spot for animals. She plans an ambitious adoption festival to fund the expansion of her beloved dog rescue, but she needs publicity. When a former local boy offers to help her design a promotion, she finds herself falling in love for the first time.

They both have big dreams, but Aiden’s will take him far from Birdsong. Will they follow their hearts or are they only falling in puppy love?

I was sold by the dog on the cover! How cute and I'm a big fan of animals in stories. Plus, animal rescue is near and dear to my heart. I'm curious to see if he'll still want to leave that small town. What do you think?
