Hello February! A new month means more “authors with heart” spotlight and giveaway post from the now-cancelled 2020 project. Usually these follow the Mother's Day tote bag projects, but this year that is on hold. I'm hoping we'll be able to do something in 2021. Fingers crossed. Until then, enjoy these books from the authors who offered to sponsor the 2020 Mother's Day thermal bags for three Washington state Fisher Houses—VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle, Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM, and VA Portland Health Care System in Vancouver. They will also be participating in the big readers giveaway at the end of the project!
Tule Publishing‘s OPERATION VALENTINE by Sarah Fischer & Kelsey McKnight is in this week's spotlight. It's the first book in their new Hazel Oaks Resort. Here's what a reviewer had to say:
“It was a really sweet story with some suspense for the reader as they worry about the couples’ futures. I highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading the second book.” —Amazon Reviewer
Here's the blurb for OPERATION VALENTINE:
She’s determined to play Cupid, but will her arrow go astray?
Nat Keller has worked at upstate New York’s Hazel Oaks Resort her entire adult life, dedicating herself to the lakeside lodge she considers home. After moving constantly as a child, planting roots and showcasing her organizational skills as the resort’s Head Concierge is her dream job. When she’s tasked with helping a married couple rekindle their romance, she’s excited to prove herself until she learns she'll be working with a partner.
Lead Adventure Coordinator Hudson Dougal has never stayed in one place for long. He’s worked at Hazel Oaks for nearly a year and is contemplating his next big move when he’s asked to work with the only woman who seems to be immune to his charm. Always up for a challenge, Hudson accepts.
Soon, Nat and Hudson are igniting more than just a stale marriage. But just as Hudson wonders if roots have a purpose, he receives another opportunity. Will love be enough of an adventure to convince him to stay?

I enjoy Valentine romances, and what a fun story from the writing duo of Fischer and McKnight. The hero and heroine sound like opposites and poor Hudson might not know what hit him. What do you think?

A special thanks to Tule Publishing for sponsoring tote bags for the Seattle/JBLM/OR VA Fisher House moms on Mother's Day.
Would love to read this.
This story sounds fun! I love opposite personalities meeting up.
This looks so cute!
I too enjoy an opposites attract story.
I am not so sure they are opposites, he may not have had a reason to put down roots yet. I am curious as to how they plan to help the married couple rekindle their romance.
I’m going to agree with you…there’s a reason he had stayed in place for the first time in a long time!
Ha! I think he’s going to get caught up in the romance of the holiday. He quite possibly never had a real reason for settling in one place. Sounds like ap fun little read.
It does sound good
I love the premise of this one and need to know how it turns out.
I don’t really think opposites attract.
