Authors With Heart: Cindy Kirk’s Christmas in Good Hope

I have another post for you in the “authors with heart” series. Each featured author helped with Mother's Day goodie bags that were donated to two Washington state Fisher Houses—VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle and Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM.

I'm so happy to feature Cindy Kirk's newest release CHRISTMAS IN GOOD HOPE.  This is Book #1 in her new Good Hope series. Cindy and I are both represented by the same literary agency. I met her in San Francisco in 2008 at our agency's party at the RWA National Conference.  She  also writes for Harlequin Special Edition and did a Year of Wedding novella for Zondervan, too! .

Here's the blurb for CHRISTMAS IN GOOD HOPE:

CindykirkcoverAmi and Beck would rather forget the past, but this Christmas of love is one to remember.

Amaryllis “Ami” Bloom’s cheerful smile greets everyone in Good Hope, Wisconsin. But her merry facade hides a dark secret she won’t ever forget. Still, she throws herself into celebrating Christmas—and convinces her handsome, and stubborn, new neighbor to join her.

Beckett Cross, however, is determined not to celebrate the holidays. He moved to Good Hope to leave behind reminders of how he’d had it all…and lost everything. But it’s hard to resist adorable Ami, the designated keeper of the small town’s holiday traditions, when she asks for help with the Twelve Nights celebrations. And Ami has a hard time resisting Beck’s soft Southern drawl and gentle eyes. Will a Christmas miracle give them a second chance at love and the hope to heal both of their hearts for good?

This sounds like a lovely Christmas story! It's on my TBR list. I'm so curious about the Twelve Nights celebrations and I love that the setting is a small town. Are you a fan of small town romances?

I have another post for you in the “authors with heart” series. Each featured author helped with Mother's Day goodie bags that were donated to two Washington state Fisher Houses—VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle and Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM.

I'm thrilled to feature Jean C. Gordon's newest Christmas book HOLIDAY HOMECOMING. This story is book #2 in the Donnelly Brothers. I've known Jean for a long time, almost a couple of decades, back when being a published author was just a dream for us! We met at a romance writers online group on GEnie, way back in the early days of the world wide web! It was so exciting to go with Jean to the Harlequin Party at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City in 2011.

Here's the blurb for HOLIDAY HOMECOMING:

connorcoverThe Pastor's Christmas Match

Pastor Connor Donnelly is done with romance. After proposing to his high school sweetheart, Natalie Delacroix, five years ago—and being turned down—he's putting all his time and energy into his community. He's determined to make the Christmas pageant he's directing a success. But family and friends are set on fixing up the good-looking bachelor in time for the holidays. And now that Natalie is back in Paradox Lake—and helping with the pageant—they might just succeed. Because working so closely with Natalie stirs up old feelings…and Connor starts to hope for a second chance with the one who got away.

This has to be one of the prettiest Christmas covers that I've seen. I just love it! The story sounds wonderful, too. Putting on a Christmas pageant makes me think of a Hallmark movie. Such fun! Have you ever been to a Christmas pageant?

Authors with Heart: Deborah Blake’s Veiled Magic

I have another post for you in the “authors with heart” series. Each featured author helped with Mother's Day goodie bags that were donated to two Washington state Fisher Houses—VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle and Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM.

Today is release day for Deborah Blake's Veiled Magic! The story is standalone and contains an exclusive preview for her next Baba Yaga novel, Wickedly Powerful! I met Deborah when four of us founded the Cat-Crazy Book Lovers Facebook page. She's a cat lover like me!

Here's the blurb for VEILED MAGIC:

veiledmagicA spellbinding new novel from the author of the Baba Yaga novels.

Since Witches came out of the broom-closet in the early 21st century, they have worked alongside humans as police officers, healers, stock traders, and more. But they aren’t the only paranormal entities in our world…

Police officer and Witch Donata Santori spends her days interrogating dead witnesses by summoning their spectral forms. Normally the job is little more than taking statements and filing reports. But when she’s called in on the case of a murdered art restorer, she finds herself suddenly in possession of a mystical portrait that both the human and paranormal communities would kill to get their hands on.

Unable to take on the forces hunting her alone, Donata seeks help from two unlikely and attractive allies: a reluctant shape-changer and a half-dragon art forger. But as the three of them hurry to uncover the truth about the powerful painting, Donata realizes that she’s caught in the middle of not one but two wars—one for possession of the painting’s secrets and one for possession of her heart…

First, I have to say I love the black cat on the cover! This sounds like a great paranormal romance and I must admit I'm a sucker for love triangles. This one sounds different though given who—or maybe what—the two men are. Are you a fan of love triangles?

I have another post for you in the “authors with heart” series. Each featured author helped with Mother's Day goodie bags that were donated to two Washington state Fisher Houses—VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle and Madigan Army Medical Center at JBLM.

Roxanne Snopek's new release HER SECRET PROTECTOR is out from Tule Publishing Group's new Secrets of Cherry Lake series! Roxanne was one of the eight authors in A Montana Born Christmas. We've been celebrating making the USA Today Best Seller List last week!

Here's the blurb for HER SECRET PROTECTOR:

hersecretprotectorNaked pictures never die…

A private photograph, taken long ago and far away, has come back to haunt good, sweet Carrie Logan, Cherry Lake's family photographer. For help containing this secret and the scandal it will cause, Carrie turns to Ethan Nash, the reclusive guy with the big dogs and bad attitude.

The big, bad cyber-security specialist takes one look at the photo of young Carrie, dancing in her altogether, and it knocks the stuffing out of him. He's pretty sure she's hooped – once something's on the internet, it's there forever, baby – but he has to try and help her anyway.

But it turns out that he needs her help far more than she needs his.

Available at:

Kindle/Nook/iBooks/Kobo/Google Play

Sounds like an interesting read. I've never heard the term “hooped” so I'm glad Roxanne explained what that word meant. All I can say is I'm so glad we didn't have cellphones when I was younger. I've tried to explain to my kids that once a pic is out there, you can't get it back so be careful how you pose and what you upload. Are you careful with your photos or do you really not think about it?
